For the traditionalist in you. These small louvres will let in the least amount of light, but give you a sophisticated look.
They’re the middle for a reason; most likely to fit all scenarios and our most popular louvre size. If you’re unsure, stick to the medium size.
A contemporary style, the larger louvres will let you see more through the windows when open, and thus allow more light to reach your room.

There are a variety of things to consider when deciding which size to go for, such as the height and style of your window, along with the levels of light and privacy that you want to achieve. We will talk you through the different options at your free home design visit and help you to the right decision.
Shutters alone do not provide complete blackout but we do offer blackout blinds that attach to the back to help you achieve complete darkness.
Shutters can be fitted to windows, doors and used as partitions.
Here in the UK we have 2 basic types of windows, casement and sash.
Older Sash Windows are normally fitted nearly flush with the inside walls, making them perfect for shutters as the shutters will fold back against the walls when open and can be fitted to the sash box section that hides the weights.
Casement Windows, which appeared mainly after 1925, we try to fit as close the window as possible, avoiding handles hitting louver blades of course, and opening perpendicular, normally protruding into the room about as much as a radiator would. If you want the shutters to fold back against the walls then you need to fit flush with the opening and we have a Z frame which fits around the corner of the reveal that makes this an easy and good looking option.
Patio Door and Partitions with wide openings usually we will use a track system for the shutters to glide. Tracked shutters can span very wide openings, some in excess of 8M have been achieved successfully.
Triangular and Arched windows and doors, found in apex windows and architectural features are also typical shutter choice openings. Some times they are the only shading/privacy solution possible and our shutters are very well suited to these.
The simple answer to this question is that shutters suit all ages and styles of properties! Shutters are an ideal window dressing in any style of property and we have personally installed in a huge range of buildings from Georgian to new builds.
All of our products are installed by
our fully trained in-house fitting team for a perfect finish.
This depends on the shutter material you go for, all our wooden shutters are not waterproof, we do offer a polyvinyl shutter that is waterproof and we recommend using these in kitchens and bathrooms.
The wood-effect vinyl finish is designed to resist both humidity and heat, making them the perfect choice for busy kitchens. They’re also easy to clean – any splashes or spills simply wipe away.
